“I would like to personally thank you and your team for helping us have a wonderful 18 day private tour of Sri Lanka. I would like to make special thanks to Chavindra (Chavi) who is a huge asset to your company. We were concerned about spending such a long time with a complete stranger, but from first meeting Chavi our fears were put to rest. With his likeable character and colorful selection of shirts to his professional conduct and safe driving. We would certainly not have had the same in depth experience of Sri Lanka without Chavi's local knowledge and experience. From stopping at the side of the road to experience local food and culture to visiting local attractions. Chavi was happy to suggest local activities and restaurants at each location but was also happy to follow our lead if we wanted to do our own thing or just have some down time. We feel like we have not only had a great private tour but also made a good friend and would definitely recommend Chavi to anyone who's looking for a private tour guide in Sri Lanka.”

“We had an amazing time in Sri Lanka and we also highly recommend Detroves Travels. No problems with our accommodation or arrangements. Our driver Sarath was incredible. Safe, courteous, obliging and knowledgeable. Despite the different driving habits of the Sri Lankans, we never felt uncomfortable or nervous on the roads with Sarath. We enjoyed some really good quality restaurant meals and they were relatively well priced. We also enjoyed some of the more typical local cuisine and it is very inexpensive and well worth trying. We enjoyed it all very much. We highly recommend Sri Lanka. For Australians it is easy enough to get to, affordable and safe, particularly given the issues going on in other parts of the world.”

“Very good agency, but the restaurants chosen in a few places are really very low-end. However, the hotels are good, two to two and a half stars. The guide Amzil is really VERY good, he knows his story very well and his explanations are very interesting and complete.”

“You can tell a travel agency is really good when you don't even notice them during your trip and definitely don't need them. Detroves Travel (PVT) Ltd is exactly that kind of agency for us. Our tour was perfectly organized, from the pick-up to the drive to the airport on the day of departure. Everything worked fantastically. Our arrival was even sweetened with a “starter pack,” which we thought was a great idea. However, what made our trip unforgettable was our chauffeur and tour guide, Mr. Asiri Rupasinghe. During our 20 days in Sri Lanka, he brought us so close to the country that we had tears in our eyes on the day of departure. Asiri explained Sri Lanka to us in detail, not only culturally and religiously, but also in terms of flora and fauna. We also experienced a lot with him in terms of cuisine. “My 3 adult daughters and I travelled to Sri Lanka and we had an amazing trip. None of us had been to Sri Lanka before and we all absolutely loved it. Kudos to our amazing driver and guide Priyantha who picked us up from Colombo airport and dropped us back almost 3 weeks later. He was with us the entire time. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. 5 stars! Highly recommend.”
“After a short time we realized that this tour of Sri Lanka would be something very special. We spent a week together and felt in good hands from the start. Everything was perfectly organized – relaxed, smooth and without any compromises. We had a personal guide, Neil de Silva, who spoke very good German, as well as our own driver (upgrade received). Both made the trip extremely enjoyable. Neil took great care to show us the authentic Sri Lanka – often far from the crowds of tourists. It was precisely these moments that made the trip so unique for us. A special highlight was that we were able to witness two Buddhist holidays and experience the faith and culture first hand. These experiences were deeply impressive and brought us closer to Sri Lanka in a very personal way. The programme was extremely varied: Safaris, temples, Ayurveda garden & massage, tea plantations, food culture, turtle farm, cities and nature – everything was there and very well coordinated. We found the flexibility particularly positive: Neil has always responded to our wishes and has adapted the program accordingly. For us it was one of the most beautiful and exciting trips we have made so far. Unforgettable and fully recommended. Thanks Neil & Rohitha (driver).”

“We really enjoyed having Charles as our guide and driver. We planned a 21 day trip which is a long time for a driver and for us. He was a mature and knowledgeable guide who was always looking for unique things we might like to do. We picked really good destinations and hotels… were happy with all our choices. Sri Lanka is a very beautiful country and all the people we met were really proud of what the country has to offer. We had so many excellent experiences: some we planned in advance,some we decided to do on arrival in a new destination. It was a very memorable holiday.”

“Individual trip (two guests) guided by Mr. Mahesh Da Silva takes seven days from Colombo, pick up at the airport to Necombo, Kalpitiya Manar, Jaffna, Trincomalee, Anuradapura. Final stop was our Ayurveda Resort at Wadduwa. During this time, there was always verry frendly atmosphere, topped with detailed informations about the Place of intetest and attractions. Also, our personal wishes would be fulfilled directly. All in all, we was positiv impressed from this kind of traveling.
